The MBB BK-117-850D2 is a multi-engine, medium class utility aircraft. The BK-117 is popular for passenger and VIP transport, seating from seven to ten people. It can also be configured for aerial crane work, equipped with a hoist and/or EMS equipment for medical evacuation and search and rescue operations. It’s smaller rotor diameter compared to other multi-engine helicopters allows it to safely operate in tight areas.
The 850D2 is a more powerful variant of the BK-117 which significantly increases single engine performance providing a greater level of safety.
